THE OPPORTUNITY

Boeing Defence Australia is looking for a Technical Publications Data Specialist to join the AH64 Apache program. This is no ordinary role and we are looking for team mates that are technically minded, but collaborative in their approach to working.

This role is based in Townsville:

As a Technical Publications Data Specialist you will:

  • Manage, Operate and Maintain the Publications Library.
  • Reproduce and distribute Interim Amendments (INAMS) in accordance with sponsor requirements.
  • Register Improvement Requests and forward to relevant sponsor.
  • Conduct routine status checks of the Improvement Request Register.
  • Carry out annual audits of publication holdings in unit.
  • Liaise with publication stakeholders.
  • Maintain a register of Foreign Source Data.
  • Contribute to Technical and Safety Investigations within the scope of the role
  • Assist 16Bde QMS staff with the management of SI(BDE) LOG
  • Support the management of aircraft log packs during IIS as required.
  • Mentor personnel in the management, amendment and distribution of technical publications.
  • Assist in the management of publication hardware used.
  • Manage the update of electronic publications on unit hardware..
Responsibilities
  • Experience in the development of technical publications for all levels of maintenance for a new or fielded major equipment system.
  • A high standard of communication skills.
  • Experience in providing general direction to a small team for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • S1000D Common Source Data Base experience desirable.
  • R4i and Frame Maker experience desirable.
  • XML or SGML experience desirable.
  • Meet Defence security and ITAR requirements.
