Description
We are looking for a Technical QA Engineer to join our team in Israel. You will take ownership of quality assurance for a new SMB security application integrated with network security infrastructure. You will independently design and execute test plans, ensuring our configuration logic translates correctly to network behavior. This includes validating security policies, traffic analysis, API testing, Portal and UI/UX verifications, and using GenAI tools to accelerate delivery. You will be expected to automate the tests, yet some manual tests may also be required. Requirements Technical Skills Networking Expertise (Must Have): 4-5 years of strong understanding of L2-L7 networking, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, Interfaces, Subnetting, and Firewall principles API Testing: Proven experience with Postman (collections, environments, automated checks) Testing Tools: Load/Stress testing (e.g., JMeter) Network Analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, TCPdump) for validating traffic verification GenAI Proficiency: Proven ability to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to generate test cases and optimize workflows Soft Skills Independence: Capable of independent planning and execution. Ability to work as a standalone tester within a dev team, identifying gaps and driving quality without micromanagement Team Player: Works well as part of a team, provides a clear picture of status, and communicates effectively Communication: High proficiency in English (Written/Verbal) for US collaboration Analytical: Ability to understand the correlation between a high-level configuration and the actual network result Nice to Have Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls or similar security appliances Scripting knowledge (Python or PowerShell) for automated traffic generation E2E/UI Automation (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) for validating the application portal We are hiring for various positions within the company, with some roles offered through outsourcing.
