Overview Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced motivated and detail-oriented Technical Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling our workforce during a pivotal stage of innovation and growth. This temporary role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for technical positions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires experience and an understanding of technical positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent. Responsibilities Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs, forecast hiring demands and build targeted talent pipelines Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy. Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations Create and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needs Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software, engineering, operations, aviation and manufacturing functions Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles Provide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trends Represent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetups Required BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant work experience or some combination thereof 5+ years of technical recruiting experience Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements Experience with applicant tracking systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to be in person in Santa Cruz, Marina or San Carlos, CA 3 days per week Desired Experience with iCIMS ATS system Background in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industries This is a temporary role, anticipated to last 3-6 months. The target base pay for this position is $45.00-$63.00/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
