We are currently seeking to hire a Technical Risk Manager II to join our team, embedded with our client in Seattle. This position requires working onsite at our client’s Headquarters in Seattle, WA.

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; hours are flexible based upon position needs. Evening and weekend work is not typical, but may be required as job duties demand.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technical Risk Manager II will lead and perform the functions of the Technical Intelligence Analysts and Security Intelligence Technicians, lead team development, manage team members, and ensure the execution of technical security objectives. The TRM will assume goal-setting responsibilities, assuring individual and work group goals align with the objectives of the Technical Security Program and Protective Services. The TRM will identify software, hardware, and training requirements, and the TRM will identify personnel, training, and equipment. The TRM will be the principal advisors on technical sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing, and are responsible for the technical training, career development, and performance evaluations of individual contributors. The TRM will establish and develop industry and vendor relationships and document the program’s framework from inception through expansion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of leadership experience in the respective field
  • Technical background with an interest and aptitude for learning new technologies and tools
  • 2-3 years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Expertise in project budget management, forecasting, and optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in primary radio protocol security, specifically Wi-Fi, cellular, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • 3-5 years wireless/signals intelligence
  • This position requires up to 10% travel.
  • Must possess an active U.S. Top Secret clearance or demonstrate the eligibility and willingness to obtain one. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to successfully pass a Top Secret background investigation.
  • Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and digital privacy best practices
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and tools
Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis related to project scope, success criteria, resource requirements, technical alternatives, and risk profile
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and project resources to organize, plan, and direct activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide regular status reports to communicate project progress and address any challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical projects
  • Assess and mitigate project risk, especially as it relates to cybersecurity and digital privacy
  • Ensure all project activities and deliverables adhere to company policy and are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Conducts business development functions with prospective internal customers.
  • Provides oversight and operational management of TRM I subordinates.
