Seeking a Technical Safety Engineer on a fixed term PAYE contract basis to support our client in upcoming project requirements over a 6-month period. The role involves contributing to technical safety engineering activities that align with the company’s HSEQ policy and objectives. You will work closely with both offshore and onshore stakeholders, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with the company’s corporate management system. This is a great opportunity to be involved in important projects and make a meaningful impact in a key role within the HSE Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A relevant engineering degree is preferred.
  • Essential experience in providing operational support to UK offshore installations.
  • Strong understanding of UK legislation (e.g., OSCR, PFEER) and familiarity with key regulatory bodies.
  • Auditing experience is desirable.
  • Flexibility to perform duties onshore, offshore, or with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the focal point for technical safety-related queries and issues, fostering a professional relationship between the company and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the integrity of Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs) by performing continuous assessments and documenting these barriers as outlined in the Safety Case.
  • Facilitating and/or actively participating in risk assessments.
  • Reviewing modification requests (RMs) to assess potential impacts on HSE risks.
  • Planning, conducting, and evaluating Process Safety Management (PSM) audits in line with the asset audit plan.
  • Participating in incident investigations.
  • Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of performance standards.
  • Reporting technical safety performance metrics to the line manager and Asset Manager.
  • Collaborating daily with the HSE Team Lead in Aberdeen.
