FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful sailmakers in the marine industry. Originally set up in 1989 as Parker and Kay Sailmakers but now trading as OneSails GBR (East). We are looking to expand and develop our workforce to continue to offer our customers the very best levels of service and support.
We have an opening to join our busy office and management team as a Technical Sail Consultant.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and contribute to all areas of customer support, sales, measurement, design, sail installation, sail trials, and race participation
Your main responsibilities will be
- Customer support
-Preparing quotations
-Following up on sales enquiries and obtaining orders
-Yacht measurement
-Sail Design input
-Sail fitting and Sail trials
-Regatta Support
-Sailing with customers
-Creating leads and quote opportunities
Requirements and Skills:
- A strong interest in yacht and/or dinghy racing, ideally with experience at a high national or international level
-Fully computer literate in Windows/Office
-Naval architecture knowledge/degree would be desirable
-Experience with sail design software a bonus would be desirable
-GCSE maths and English A-C would be desirable
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers
- Full UK driving licence
-Travel will be required to regattas / customer’s yachts / other marinas / training sessions so flexibility is a must
- You must hold the legal right to work in the UK
