Responsibilities The Technical Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth by selling software products or solutions. This role involves prospecting, presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer success. Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities through outreach, networking, and inbound leads Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to client needs Understand customer business challenges and recommend appropriate software solutions Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing Prepare proposals, pricing, and contracts Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in CRM systems Collaborate with marketing, development and customer support teams Stay informed about industry trends, regulations and compliance, competitors, and product updates You Possess Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of sales experience in software or technology Experience in the trucking industry, telematics, and or hours of service regulations an asset. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tools Strong communication and presentation skills Persuasive negotiation and closing abilities Technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain software products Relationship-building and consultative selling skills Self-motivation and goal orientation Time management and organizational skills
