Salary Range:In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is$202,000 - $352,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location
Additional Compensation:This position is eligible for an end-of-year bonus.

EMPOWER CRITICAL SYSTEMS AND DATA

We are seeking a highly technical and strategic Technical Sales Director to drive Bluestaq’s growth in secure, scalable data management technologies. This role blends deep solution expertise with sales leadership: you will lead customer engagements that require translating complex technical requirements into executable, revenuedriving solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 20+ years in technical sales leadership roles, including direct experience with cloud platforms and complex solution selling.
  • Proven success in a leadership sales role at a major SaaS organization (e.g., AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft, or equivalent enterprise-scale cloud/SaaS company).
  • Deep expertise in data architecture, AI/ML, secure cloud deployments, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Strong record of closing multimillion-dollar technical deals and driving partner-led solutions.
  • Exceptional ability to translate technical concepts into business value for executive stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring high-performing teams and shaping technical go-to-market strategies.
  • Familiarity with government, intelligence, or regulated industries preferred.
    Required Education: 20+ years of technical or partner engagement experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

    Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a security clearance, US Citizenship is required, and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check.     Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategies for federal, defense, intelligence, commercial, and healthcare markets.
  • Act as the technical authority in executive sales discussions, guiding customers through secure, endtoend architecture options.
  • Define and communicate Bluestaq’s architectural strategy across multicloud, onprem, and edge environments during sales cycles.
  • Build scalable frameworks and reusable solution patterns that accelerate customer adoption and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to ensure customer feedback directly shapes product roadmaps.
  • Lead and mentor solution architects and sales engineers in complex pursuits.
  • Support technical due diligence for strategic partnerships, M&A opportunities, or joint ventures.
  • Represent Bluestaq at technical forums, industry conferences, and partner events to evangelize our innovation strategy and generate demand.
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical customer implementations and highrisk technical negotiations.
  • Create and deliver technical content-whitepapers, briefings, and proposals-to support capture efforts and close deals.
