POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technical Sales Engineer for Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products for customers. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Technical Sales Engineer will work closely with the sales team, product development, and engineering departments to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in technical sales of Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings and their applications.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is a Must.
Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of ductile iron pipes and fittings, including their applications, features, and benefits.
  • Ensure timely resolution of all customer complaints within a seven-day timeframe. Establish an online complaint-tracking system to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to the Business Development and Sales teams
  • Offer technical expertise to customers and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Commit to a minimum of 15 days of travel per month to maintain strong customer relations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers to showcase product capabilities.
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to potential customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.
  • Address customer concerns and provide solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence product improvements.
  • Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Market and Industry Insight:
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Share insights and recommendations with internal teams to enhance product offerings and sales strategies.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and events to network and stay updated on market trends.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and technical issues in the CRM system.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the sales manager.
  • Document technical specifications and solutions provided to customers.
