JOB SUMMARY

As a Technical Sales Engineer at iwell, you will play a key role in shaping the technical backbone of our BESS and EMS projects. Drawing on your expertise in electrical and civil engineering, you will oversee the design and technical execution of projects, ensuring robust and reliable solutions.
You are hands-on, knowledgeable, and confident in managing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partners—whether contracted by iwell or by the client. While you won’t be responsible for closing sales, you will be the go-to technical expert who supports our commercial teams and ensures that customers understand the technical value of our solutions.
This role is all about engineering excellence, practical execution, and clear technical communication.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a sales engineering role, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of BESS and EMS technologies and their applications in C&I settings.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits as required.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop tailored BESS and EMS solutions for clients, integrating electrical and civil engineering principles.
  • Provide technical support to your sales colleagues by doing the above.
  • Assess electrotechnical installations at customer’s site.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal technical project configurations.
  • If required create Single Line Diagrams to provide clarity on the solution and create a clear demarcation between the involved parties.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to provide customized solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Manage EPC-parties who are sub-contracted by iwell or the end-customer.
