Description

TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER

We’re seeking a driven and technically minded Technical Sales Engineer to join a global leader in monitoring solutions for the aviation sector. This role involves developing new business opportunities while managing key client relationships across the UK and internationally .
It is key that the successful candidate has proven experience working as a technical knowledge within in Electrical Instrumentation, Sensors, or controls.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline
  • Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within aviation, instrumentation, or related fields
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Confident presenting complex technical solutions to a range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in generating accurate technical quotations and sales documentation
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel internationally
  • Those with a background in forces, aviation or similar are of particular interest.
Responsibilities
  • Promoting weather monitoring systems to airports and air navigation service providers (ANSPs) worldwide
  • Develop new business leads and nurture existing client relationships
  • Prepare technical proposals, sales forecasts, and quotations
  • Conduct site surveys, pre-sales meetings, and client visits
  • Collaborate with engineering and software teams to shape bespoke client solutions
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Maintain CRM records and follow-up on RFQs and sales leads
  • Track and meet revenue targets while building long-term business development plans
