ABOUT THE JOB

We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Sales Engineer at Tech Etch, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving the successful execution of new and ongoing projects. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, define manufacturing processes, and provide cost models for quotation. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal resource groups to facilitate a seamless transfer of part requirements and design for manufacture efforts.

  • Utilize your engineering background and expertise to define manufacturing processes for new part opportunities. Your technical insights will be instrumental in aligning customer requirements with Tech Etch capabilities, ensuring we deliver the best solutions possible.
  • Assist customers in their design for manufacture efforts, offering guidance and recommendations to optimize their designs and enhance product manufacturability
  • Serve as a key liaison between our customers and internal resource groups, effectively conveying technical information and project updates. Your strong communication skills will foster collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost models for quotations, helping customers understand the value of our solutions and ensuring competitive pricing

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required
  • 3-5 years of equivalent technical or engineering-related experience
  • Possess strong proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, enabling you to effectively manage and analyze data
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to engage with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders with ease
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and efficiently prioritize assigned tasks and workload, ensuring deadlines are met even in a fast-paced environment
  • Display a strong sense of urgency and accountability, taking ownership of tasks and projects from inception to completion
  • Work effectively in both group and independent settings, contributing to team efforts while also being self-driven and proactive
  • Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and papers, and use your analytical skills to assist in problem-solving and decision-making processes
