Technical Sales Manager – SensorsLocation: UK Field Based | Home OfficeHours: 37.5 hours per weekPackage: Competitive salary + performance-related bonus + company car + benefits

The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to drive the growth of a specialist portfolio of sensor and electronic component technologies across the UK.This is an exciting field-based role for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with commercial sales, developing relationships with engineering teams and customers, and identifying new opportunities from initial design through to production.

You will be responsible for developing new business, growing existing customer relationships and helping customers find the right technical solution for their applications.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop new business and grow existing customer accounts across the UK.
• Build strong relationships with engineers, designers, purchasing teams and key decision makers.
• Identify new applications and markets for sensor and electronic technologies.
• Support customers through the design-in process, from initial specification through to production.
• Present and demonstrate products, focusing on technical and commercial benefits.
• Manage the sales pipeline and achieve agreed sales and margin targets.
• Work with internal teams and suppliers to deliver the right solutions for customers.
• Maintain accurate CRM information and provide regular sales forecasts and updates.

About YouYou will ideally have a background in technical sales, field applications engineering or electronic component sales, with a good understanding of how electronic products are designed into customer applications.

• Experience with sensors would be highly advantageous, particularly:Temperature, environmental and gas sensors
• Accelerometers, MEMS, position and load sensors
• Pressure and other industrial sensing technologies

Knowledge of electromechanical products, including switches, pushbuttons, touchscreens, power and interconnect products, would also be beneficial.

• What We're Looking ForProven experience in technical sales, FAE or a similar customer-facing engineering role.
• Sensor or electronic component sales experience is desirable.
• Engineering/electronics qualification or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience working with customers on design-in opportunities.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organised and confident working independently across a UK territory.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
