Technical Sales Representative
The Technical Sales Representative will build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships for commercial operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in customer support and development or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Specific experience should include business development, program management and technical sales/marketing in commercial and/or the aerospace market. Direct knowledge and experience with materials and components testing, manufacturing processes and extensive knowledge of the commercial and/or the aerospace industry and its customers is required.
Specific Job Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical information such as blueprints, drawings and customer specifications, the ability to read, analyze, interpret and present general business materials and the ability to independently manage multiple complex projects, each with changing priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Behavior/Work Management Skills: Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements. Must be able to promote a participative, team-oriented environment, working with customers (both internal and external), all employees, suppliers, and others in a professional and respectful manner.
Leadership Skills: Must model desired employee and leadership behaviors. Adept to managing change. Ability to set and meet goals. Ability to give and receive feedback well. Must possess proven ability to successfully facilitate change.
Reporting Structure: This person reports to site General Manager with a dotted line to Corporate Director of Business Development.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical materials, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, work instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and vendors.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to compile and present data in a format that facilitates information sharing and decision making.
Team Facilitation Skills: Interacts professionally with customers, co-workers, and suppliers; understands internal customers; and strives to maintain good relations with others.
Mathematical Skills: Employee must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, accounting and financial calculations and projections.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk working and/or attending meetings with periodic breaks. Must be able to move throughout the office and/or manufacturing area and talk, hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, customers, suppliers, and others. May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment: Normal work environment is a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the shop floor.
Special Requirement: The ability to work extended hours, including possible weekends, as required. Travel should be expected, up to 25%, to customers, trade shows or special training programs. This position is not a work from home position and requires on site attendance.
Compensation:
The compensation for this position is to be comprised of three main elements:
o as a direct result of your efforts
o payable within 30 days and within normal payroll cycle
o tracking of eligible Purchase Orders to be done and submitted by salesperson and approved by Company Leadership
