What are we looking for? Due to our growth we are now looking for a Technical Sales professional who will drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with key and target customers in our Pohjanmaa region. You will be based in the Pohjanmaa area, preferably around Vaasa/Seinäjoki areas. You’ll manage the full sales cycle; from needs analysis to closing. The role combines consultative and technical solution selling, market insight and collaboration with internal teams to deliver best value-driven solutions. Through proactive engagement, you will foster long-term partnerships and support sustainable growth. When you’re not out visiting customers, you'll be based at the SMC office in Pohjanmaa, with the flexibility to work from home occasionally if that suits you. Your responsibilities: Identify and engage key- and target customers to drive growth Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships Apply consultative selling techniques to match solutions with the customer needs Prepare proposals, follow-up on quotations, and close deals Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery Represent SMC at customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events mostly in Finland but occasionally visits abroad might occur What we are looking for: We are looking for someone with at least three years of relevant experience in value-based B2B technical sales with experience or a strong interest in SMC’s automation business and product portfolio. You are familiar with technical sales and can work fluently with Finnish and English. You can work independently and take full ownership of your work. You are people-oriented and can easily build relationships with different types of individuals with an ability to understand customer needs and provide the best possible solutions. Swedish skills and previous experience from automation, electronics or manufacturing industries are considered pros.
