QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 4-5 Years HVAC industry experience, focused on unique product lines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license
  • Computer literate and able to learn manufacturer technical information and product specifications.
  • Answer customer calls after hours on occasion.
  • Drive to 2J branches and the locations of the customers for field visits.
  • Effectively deal with a variety of people and difficult situations in a positive and open-minded manner.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Effectively multi-task and solve problems.
  • Think critically and logically under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • College degree in business management, marketing or related field
  • Retail service repair HVAC knowledge
  • Experience instructing, training or teaching in HVAC or a technical field.
  • NATE certification

Travel
This position requires up to 40% travel within a local geographical area. Occasionally travel is outside of the local area and overnight stay may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide remote technical support regarding product installation and services identifying and communicating technical risks, requirements, and issues or refer to alternative resources.
  • Communicate effectively to people with various levels of knowledge to ensure appropriate usage and technical information supporting employees and customers.
  • Develop positive, customer-centric relationships with Sales and Operations teams.
  • Provide on-site customer visits and support to assist in technical direction and problem resolution and refer more complex issues to higher levels or manufacturers.
  • Learn and apply approved software for load calculations and duct equipment planning.
  • Provide training classes regarding product lines and application for certification credit or as a resource to improve product knowledge.
  • Attend industry and key manufacturing training courses.
  • Work directly with customers, vendors and internal teams to comply with product program application and execute technical specifications.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records and prepare updates on products and features regarding problems or modifications to assist in the improvement of image and quality of products and services.
  • Troubleshoot problems, answer questions and address customers regarding products provided and offer solutions.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to track and update customer visits, inquiries and communication.
  • Serve as a main trainer for the organization regarding detailed product training from the vendor and functioning as a “train the trainer” for the whole company and for customer certification maintenance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
