About the Business
Our client is an Australian-owned electronic security business that has been operating for more than 16 years, with operations across VIC, NSW and QLD.
The business specialises across three key areas:
With approximately 3,000 cameras deployed nationally and a strong portfolio of established clients, the business continues to experience year-on-year growth and is looking to strengthen its Victorian production operation.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technician or Technical Supervisor who is ready to take the next step into leadership.
Based from the company's office in south-east of Melbourne, you will lead a team of technicians responsible for building, configuring, testing, maintaining and deploying the company's solar-powered security systems.
You'll still be technical and hands-on, but instead of spending every day driving from site to site, you'll have the opportunity to lead from the workshop, develop your team and take ownership of the operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
The Technology
The role involves assembling and configuring CCTV systems for solar-powered security setups and pole-mounted solutions. You’ll work across cameras, routers, SIM cards and system configuration, testing and preparing each system to meet specific client requirements.
You’ll oversee the technicians and the process from the initial arrival of equipment through to configuration, testing, commissioning and final deployment.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideally suited to an experienced security professional with a strong technical background who has progressed from a technician role into leadership, with a focus on quality, safety and team performance. You’ll also be responsible for managing stock and material supplies, coordinating resources and organising the technicians’ day-to-day schedules.
You'll ideally bring:
