We’re looking for a Technical Services Manager – Aquaculture Nutrition to join our fast-growing business unit. WHAT YOU BRING:

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a passion for building relationships and advancing sustainable practices:

  • A Master’s or PhD in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Animal Nutrition, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of technical experience in aquaculture, with a focus on algae-based or alternative ingredients.
  • Hands-on experience conducting product trials and providing technical support to aquaculture producers, especially in salmon farming.
  • Strong understanding of Omega-3 (DHA, EPA) and their nutritional impact on aquaculture species.
  • Proficiency in feed formulation and aquaculture production systems.
  • A collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities.
Responsibilities

As a Technical Sales Manager, you will be the bridge between Corbion and our customers, ensuring they receive top-notch technical support and service while advancing the use of algae-based ingredients in aquaculture feed. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to customers and our commercial team on fish nutrition and formulation solutions related to algae-based ingredients in aquaculture feed formulation, focusing on nutrition, health benefits, and performance outcomes.
  • Planning, coordination, and interpretation of technical studies related to nutrition of fish and shrimp. Experience in salmonids is a must
  • Develop and lead investigations into nutritional solutions, with a focus on optimizing feed formulations that include algae-based ingredients. Emphasis should be placed on enhancing animal growth performance, and improving overall health and welfare outcomes, as well as sustainability
  • Management of collaborative projects with internal and external partners (universities, research institutes, national and international funding organizations, suppliers)
  • Representing Corbion at aquaculture conferences, trade shows, and technical workshops to share insights and promote our solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, business development, and regulatory, to align technical and business goals.
  • Communication of project results and findings to our key stakeholders and aquaculture events
