JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.
Within the Military Customer Support Organization, as Technical Service Specialist you will support military engine fleets in technical and logistic aspects and you will be the liaison between the Customers and relevant Company’s Stakeholders.
You will provide a high-level technical assistance to the Customer and you will work with Avio Aero Engineering department.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or a technical High school Diploma with previous experience in similar role
  • Deep knowledge of Operations and Maintenance of aeroengines
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation of complex equipment
  • Knowledge of configuration control rules, processes and procedures
  • Ability to read and understand Nomenclature Catalogues, engine Technical Publications, regulations and applicable procedures (maintenance manuals, parts catalog, calibration procedures) as well as Change Proposal, Technical Disposition and Repair Schemes/Instruction
  • Strong Customer mindset
  • Strong MS Office knowledge
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Responsibilities
  • Be the back-office primary point of contact for customers and manage all service-related inquiries, issues and technical evidences arising from engine Operators and Maintenance activities on engines and modules
  • Be the primary point of contact for the Customer and Avio Aero departments for “Segnalazione Inconveniente” related to the in-service events in accordance with DAAA (Direzione Armamenti Aeronautici e per l’Aeronavigabilità)
  • Support the engineering investigations related to “Segnalazione Inconveniente” and manage the liaison with DAAA for any formal communication, issuance of preventive and corrective measure and the technical report
  • Support the issuance of technical publications in line with DAAA regulations and subsequent distribution to the operators
  • Support the issuance of any technical provisions (i.e. Service Bulletin, Prescrizione Tecnica Ditta, Special Technical Order) as per DAAA regulations by leading and ensuring effective exchange of technical information
  • Accountable for Query and Answer response in time by collaborating with engineering teams to develop and implement solutions for complex technical problems and provide prompt feedback to Customer’s issues
  • Manage the Customer Satisfaction Survey with all the Avio Aero Military Customers, gathering feedbacks and sharing them with internal teams
  • Responsible to deliver technical training to the Customer based on their needs, manage all the logistical organization activities, ensure its realization and monitor the outcome by collecting Customer satisfaction feedback
