Responsibilities

The TS Engineer Powerplant Off-Wing is responsible for the planning, budgeting, and oversight of the repair and overhaul of engines within the EAT fleet and contractually assigned airlines. He prepares the scope of work and coordinates it with the overhaul facilities, involving the engine manufacturers as needed.

  • Tracking of life-limited components in the engine in accordance with regulatory requirements and corresponding disassembly planning, taking operational considerations into account
  • Incorporation of the documentation from the overhaul facilities into the engine documentation
  • Support in the purchase of life-limited engine components by reviewing lifecycle documentation
  • Improvement of reliability and cost savings in the operation of engines
  • Definition and coordination of work packages with the overhaul facilities
  • Coordination and management of collaboration with internal and external customers, suppliers, and lessors
  • Analysis and evaluation of documents for the procurement of engines and phase-in of new aircraft
  • Evaluation of investigation reports and submission of proposals for initiating necessary measures
  • Definition and improvement of departmental processes
  • Regular communication on technical topics using established channels
