About the Role We are seeking a Technical Services Engineer who will be responsible for carrying out product trials, installations, commissioning, maintenance and ongoing service and support to clients, of TNA manufactured equipment, and agency equipment. The Technical Service Engineer will also actively promote TNA”s support offerings such as Preventative Maintenance agreements, Recommendations of correct Spare Parts, Promotions and Help Desk Support. This role will be based in New Zealand and reporting to the Aftermarket & Services Manager. Key responsibilities: You will be responsible for, but not limited to: Manage Product Trials and complete installation & commissioning in accordance with the customer’s specifications and layout documentation, whilst meeting the timelines Provide routine maintenance and planned servicing of TNA equipment in accordance with service agreements and schedules Provide training to customers (and co-workers) in relation to proper operation, preventative maintenance, and fault finding of TNA equipment Provide first, second and third level support, in relation to breakdowns and/or customer queries, responding by either telephone or site visits, and within set timeframes. Escalate any issues early to the Aftermarket & Services Manager, for a timely resolution Communicate the benefits of Service Agreements to customers and assist the Sales Managers’ in formulating the Service Agreement as required Promote the value of TNA’s original spare parts and upgrades to our customers Provide input and feedback to the Product Development Team, relating to product modifications, faults and development potential Attend to customers’ requests for technical assistance Reports on all service visits and technical issues each week by completing the required steps in D365 Support and collaborate with the Aftermarket & Service Managers and Project Managers on all product trials and pre-installation works, ensuring layouts are correct and all documentation has been received Develop strong professional relationships with all customers and provide feedback to the Sales Team regarding prospective capital investment obtained through such relationships Represent TNA at trade fairs, exhibitions & networking events (including some weekends) Upwards of 80% travel, at short notice, both locally and overseas, including some weekends Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Qualifications: Industrial Electrician (Licensed) or certified to perform Electrical work Qualifications in industrial electrical trade or any other relevant field Current New Zealand Practising Electrical License (EST/Electrical Services Technician) Experience and Knowledge: 5-6+ years servicing experience with a focus on installation, repair and testing of electronic and mechanical equipment Experience in a field engineering role, dealing with mechanical, electrical and software issues is considered highly Exposure to the FMCG manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is advantageous Working knowledge of current market trends and competitors Fully competent in industrial electronic & power theory and schematics Industrial software programming Understands PLC / PC Knowledge of Bag making, Multihead Weighing, Check Weighers, Conveyors, Seasoning/flavouring, end of line automation, food processing (Frying and/or Confectionery) desirable Skills: Mechanical Aptitude, methodical and well organised Able to communicate, develop, build and maintain strong relationships with customers, to ensure long term service opportunities Computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Word & Share Point) Comfortable with mathematics and data analysis (i.e. machine performance data) Why work with us?
