Description

As a member of SPG’s consulting team, the Technical Services Manager will be supporting clients in developing and executing capital plans with the goal of improving facility operations and reducing carbon emissions. You will have the opportunity to support and advise the ownership team on developing and executing building strategies.
Though the primary objectives are technical in nature, you will be supported by a team of specialists making your role heavily focused on client management; exceptional interpersonal skills are essential. The role is as an SPG employee, but it will focus heavily on a specific client account in the multi-unit residential space. There is flexibility from week to week on work location, but it will involve a mix between the SPG Calgary office, our client’s Calgary office and from home.

Responsibilities

LIAISON DUTIES:

  • Act as a liaison between the asset management team, property team, operations team, SPG, and the client.
  • Facilitate clear communication channels among all parties involved in projects

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day interactions with clients ensuring their satisfaction
  • Develop comprehensive capital plans aligning them with organizational goals
  • Act as an intermediary facilitating communication and coordination among teams and stakeholders
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects managing resources effectively and meeting deadlines
  • Oversee base building systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards
  • Implement maintenance strategies to prolong system lifespan and efficiency
  • Time tracking and documentation
  • Travel is required
