Description Technical Services Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing processes for Design Control and Quality Assurance within all D.R. Allen Companies. Responsibilities also include product testing, facilitating the development of product and process quality, product and process auditing, and continuous improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain regulatory compliance: Develop and maintain processes that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and Maintain Design Control Systems: Develop processes to assure accurate Design Control (Mix, Product and Tooling) and provide timely and accurate Submittals to support Sales. Maintain product performance validation records: Develop and maintain processes to receive product performance results and analyze results to recommend and implement Product Design Improvements focused on Improving Quality and Reducing Costs. Manage Quality Lab: Develop and implement in house testing capabilities to support product and process validation and support process improvement initiatives. Manage the product change process: Develop and Improve process for evaluating and implementing Product Changes. Maintain the quality management system: Develop, Improve, and Maintain the DR Allen Business Management System in alignment with ISO standards. Must be capable of doing backup as a field technician Other Duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in technical field of study (Engineering Degree Preferred) 5 years’ experience in Concrete and/or Block Industry. (ACI and NCDOT certifications are a plus) Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills Strong organization, project management, 6-sigma application, and time management skills Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels in the organization and with customers) Note: This position has physical requirements:
