Description

The energy transition is impossible without you as Technical Solution Lead

Data and AI play an increasingly important role in realizing a future-proof energy grid. Within Team CDIT, you help build the foundation upon which data products, analytics solutions, and AI applications are developed within Alliander. The team is responsible for the central DataCloud and provides generic platform services and building blocks that enable development teams to deliver value faster and in a standardized manner.

As a Technical Solution Lead, you help determine the technical direction of the Alliander DataCloud. You connect architecture, security, operations, and development, and assist the team in making technical choices that contribute to standardization, automation, and scalability. In doing so, you serve as a substantive sparring partner for Solution Architects, Product Managers, Product Owners, and Chapter Leads.

We are building the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as a Technical Solution Lead, you are contributing to this. For example, you will be working on:

  • Designing future-proof technical solutions within the architecture of the Alliander DataCloud;
  • Determining the technical course for platform services, cloud solutions, and data infrastructure;
  • Promoting standardization, automation, and scalability within the platform landscape;
  • Coordinating complex technical issues and guiding team members on content;
  • Integrating new platform services and SaaS solutions within the Data & Analytics ecosystem;
  • Advising on technical lifecycle management and further developing platform capabilities.

You make the net more complete at Alliander

Did you know that Alliander consists of various companies working together on a reliable and future-proof energy grid? With a large team of professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of residents and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do, we do with an eye on the people who rely on us. And thanks to our talent, we have complete confidence in the energy future of the Netherlands.

And you will be doing that within an environment focused on data, analytics, business intelligence, machine learning, and AI. Here, innovative data platforms and services are being developed that enable teams to create reliable insights and accelerate digitalization.

Within ART Data & Analytics, you work on platforms and services that form the basis for data and AI solutions within Alliander. The ART develops and manages the Alliander DataCloud and AI platform services, among others, and focuses on three key goals: building robust platforms, increasing reliability and security, and accelerating digitalization through automation and standardization.

At Alliander, AI is not a thing of the future, but part of how we work. Which tools are suitable for this varies by role and changes continuously; for us, it is not about a specific tool, but about your mindset. We expect you to actively use the available tools, from Copilot to Power Automate, to make your own work smarter. We really ask for your willingness to make AI a structural part of your work. The amount of experience you already have in this area may vary, because a recent graduate naturally has a different place here than someone with a few years of work experience.

You make it just more energetic

You enjoy breaking down complex technical issues into practical, scalable solutions. At the same time, you know how to involve people in technical decisions and build bridges between different disciplines. Do you thrive in an environment where technology, data, and innovation come together?

Great! Especially if you supplement this with:

  • Higher professional education (HBO+) or university (WO) working and thinking level, combined with at least 7 years of relevant experience within a complex enterprise environment;
  • Demonstrable experience with solution design, technical architecture, and realizing large-scale platform solutions;
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and modern data integration and AI Data Cloud solutions;
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, data warehousing, data transformation, and AWS platform services;
  • Ability to connect architecture, security, operations, and delivery in a single technical vision;
  • Technical leadership that provides direction without a hierarchical position and where knowledge sharing is a matter of course;
  • You have a true AI mindset: you are already deploying AI as a work accelerator, as an assistant that you direct specifically and critically monitor, while you remain in control;
  • You easily adapt to new possibilities and share what you build and discover with your team, so that a handy solution of yours also helps others.
  • Desired certifications in AWS & Cloud Architecture, Data & Analytics, Architecture & Engineering, or Agile & Delivery are a nice addition, but not a requirement.
