Description
This role adds value to the business by: 1. Engage the Building & Construction stakeholders, pprovide end to end, spec-to-sales service, manage the sell-through of Lysaght products / solutions, 2. Follow up and follow through on project leads from concept until the conclusion of the sales and supply stage. 3. Engage the Building & Construction stakeholders, provide technical and consultative selling in the assigned project sub-segments, promote and increase the adoption and sales of Lysaght products in construction projects. 4. Manage, maintain and sustain a healthy spec and sales pipeline, to achieve the business sales target Job Responsibilities: 1. Lead, coach and supervise the Specification Specialist, in carrying out their specification and sales activities for Lysaght products and solutions in the construction projects identified, as per target and KPI defined. 2. Regular and periodic tracking and monitoring of specification pipeline and sales conversion, ensuring alignment to company sales target 3. Formulate and execute the segment strategy and value chain stakeholders’ engagement programs, to promote Lysaght products and solutions, and to sustain the spec and sales pipeline. 4. Plan and supervise the technical talks and presentations calendars to the project stakeholders, including but not limited to Architects, consultants, engineers (AEC), Quantity surveyors (QS) and building owners. 5. Promote and upsell the premium tier products and best solutions for the projects whenever possible, closely follow up on team’s progress on project leads, to mitigate and prevent specification conversion. 6. Build strong and trustworthy relationship with project value chain members such as designers/architects, contractors and project owners/developers. 7. Manage specification pipeline process of the team, including involvement in technical and specification negotiation process with key stakeholders within the pipeline steps. 8. Represent Company as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the assigned project /constriction sub-segment(s), spearhead in working with internal stakeholders to develop, promote and share the best practise, solutions and service offers needed by the sub-segment(s). 9. Communicate market insights, sub-segments and project needs to the marcom, technical and product development team, for branding, product development and innovation opportunities to support business growth. 10. Communicate and liaise with both downstream and midstream stakeholders for supports and resources required to achieve successful consultative selling and specification target. Job Requirements: 1. Possess a bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, or other related discipline (Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Civil/ Structural) from a recognised institute or university. 2. Other academic qualifications such as Additional qualifications in Business/ Marketing/ / Economics can also be considered. 3. A master’s degree in science or business administration is an added advantage, but not a pre-requisite. 4. At least 5 years’ experience as specifier/ specification specialist, / key account manager, and / or 5. Experience as a Specification or Sales Manager, or in similar capacity of managing a team of specifiers/ salespersons. 6. Experience in technical / consultative selling will be added advantage, but not a pre-requisite. 7. Experience in Building & Construction Industry will be an added advantage, but not a pre-requisite. Competencies: 1. Good leadership skills and capability 2. good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact with people at all levels. 3. Good cold call skills 4. Negotiation and influencing skills 5. Good time management skills. 6. Good presentation skills in a variety of formal presentation settings both inside and outside of the organization 7. A team player 8. Good command (written and spoken) in Bahasa Malaysia and English. 9. Practical knowledge with Microsoft software applications 10. Good business acumen 11.
