Sheffield Hallam University Technical Operations Resources and Services (TORS) are excited to welcome a new team supporting the utilisation of software in direct student support and self-directed learning. If you are passionate about teamwork, customer service, facilitation of learning, then we could be welcoming you as our new Technical Specialist.
You will be working with a team, facilitating teaching and self-directed study groups across our Computing taught portfolio with programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, within the visual studio IDE and VS Code editor.
You should have experience in the use of the .NET framework environment to create Desktop and Web Applications, which incorporate different libraries and frameworks involving modern technologies such as, ASP.NET, Blazor, Entity Framework, REST, and JSON.
You do not need to be an expert across all our computing related activities; however, you do need a can-do attitude, be adaptable and flexible to enable you to trouble shoot during sessions you are facilitating.
The role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route so if you are an international applicant, you will need to ensure you have an appropriate visa to evidence the necessary right to work in the UK.
