YOU’LL NEED:

As the Technical Specialist for Frame and Truss NSW you will be a highly driven individual with a strong knowledge of Frame & Truss, Construction, Engineer or Manufacturing. Previous experience in Estimation / Design / Detailing whilst having the ability to interpret complex commercial and multi-residential projects. You must be able to wear many hats, influence multiple stakeholders and have a good understanding Construction, Manufacturing or Engineering.

Responsibilities

As the Technical Specialist NSW for Bunnings Frame and Truss you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our Frame & Truss orders. You will be responsible for technical checks on F&T plans into our NSW and QLD sites whilst keeping the Estimation team across variations and resolving technical issues.
As an expert in your field, you will become a source of knowledge across multiple Frame and Truss teams and assist with training and technical support to help increase capability and streamline future processes and procedures.
This role will see you work closely with our team of Estimators, Design Partners, Detailers and Suppliers plus F&T Clients to provide consistent and cost-effective projects whilst resolving technical issues early in the project life cycle.

What’s involved :

  • Reviewing F&T orders to ensure all information is accurately collected and resolving any technical issues.
  • Raising variations where plans received at order stage differ from those quoted.
  • Ensuring special orders are flagged with the Procurement Team.
  • Maintaining a seamless workflow between the Estimating and Technical Teams.
  • Providing technical feedback to Estimators to improve quote quality and accuracy.
  • Assisting with training and technical support for the Estimating Team.
  • Managing the feedback loop between Bunnings’ onshore Estimating Team, Outsource Providers, and Technical Teams.
  • Assisting with estimating complex builds, including commercial and multi-residential projects.
