Thai Union Group PCL Position: Technical Specialist – Network Location: Bangkok, SM Tower Building (Work on-site from Monday - Friday) Job Purpose: The Technical Specialist Network plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving the digital systems that support the organization's processes and its users. She or he is responsible for implementing, maintaining and supporting enterprise-wide network infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity across all locations including IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role will also take part in design, and focuses on optimizing network performance, managing security, and integrating identity and access management (IAM) solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking, with experience in firewalls, VPN etc. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. LAN & WAN Network Design & Architecture - Implement, maintain, support and optimize LAN, WAN and OT network infrastructures, including routing, switching, and network segmentation. - Deploy and manage SD-WAN solutions to improve network performance and security. - Develop and enforce network standards, policies, and best practices. 2. Network Security & Compliance - Implement firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and security policies to protect IT and OT network traffic. - Ensure network compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001 etc.). - Work with cybersecurity teams to mitigate threats and enhance network security posture. 3. Network Operations & Troubleshooting - Provide Level 2 and 3 support for network incidents and performance issues. - Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks. - Collaborate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and service improvements. 4. Cloud & Hybrid Network Integration - Implement, maintain and support cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) to integrate with on-premise infrastructure. - Optimize WAN and VPN connectivity between cloud environments and corporate data centers. - Ensure secure and resilient hybrid networking configurations. 5. Identity & Access Management (IAM) Integration - Support and integrate IAM platforms (Microsoft Entra, Radius…) with network security. - Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and least privilege enforcement for network resources. - Manage authentication, authorization, and access provisioning across network components. 6. Incident management - Provide Level 2 and 3 support (working with vendors when needed) for network incidents and ensure to meet the SLA defined. - Assist service desk and end users in resolving incidents and restoring availability of applications and infrastructure. 7. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and security documentation. - Generate reports on network health, incidents, and compliance status. Qualifications & Experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT and OT networking. 3. Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, and OT network security. 4. Hands-on experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. 5. Knowledge of Zero Trust Networking, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Radius… Familiarity with SCADA, ICS, and industrial network security frameworks. 6. Ability to lead and manage complex network projects across IT and OT environments. 7. Certifications in Networking are a plus. 8. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
