Location: Southeast Asia, East Africa, USA, UK Full-time | Senior Advisor Level Reports to: Partnership Lead | Works closely with Regional Directors and Global Programs Team IIRR is one of the world’s leading rural development organization advancing prosperity through community-led innovation. Our current strategy emphasizes climate-smart agriculture, regenerative practices, and partnerships with the private sector to achieve scale and sustainability. We are seeking a hands-on technical expert to design and implement programs that enhance the sustainability, traceability, and equity of rural supply chains. The Specialist will work closely with producer cooperatives, local enterprises, and brand partners to pilot regenerative models that can be replicated regionally. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct baseline mapping and risk assessments of existing rural supply chains for natural materials Design and implement traceability systems connecting smallholders and cooperatives to responsible buyers. Introduce regenerative agricultural and livestock practices that improve soil health and reduce emissions. Strengthen local organizations’ technical capacity and governance. Align field implementation with recognized standards and certification frameworks Document results and produce case studies showcasing community and environmental impact. CANDIDATE PROFILE 8 – 12 years’ applied experience in sustainable sourcing, agricultural value chains, or ethical trade. Technical expertise in regenerative agriculture, natural-fiber production, or supply-chain traceability. Demonstrated field experience in Southeast Asia or Africa. Strong analytical, data-management, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
