REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3 years’ experience with Business Banking applications and systems such as Credit Cards, Asset Finance, and Invoice Finance
  • Hands-on experience with change management processes, including managing technical changes and releases
  • Familiarity with industry payment schemes like VISA, MasterCard, and LINK
  • Experience working with third-party providers (such as FIS, First Data, etc.) and understanding their technical releases, changes, and SLAs
  • Background in technical consultancy and problem-solving related to business banking applications
  • Experience with technical documentation, including design documents and system improvements
  • Expertise in cards processing systems and related technologies
  • Strong ability to coordinate and communicate with internal teams, third parties, and other stakeholders
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Technical Specialist to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a fully remote role.
Our client is seeking a Technical Specialist who has experience in Business Banking to be a SME for business banking applications including credit cards and specialised systems such as asset finance and invoice finance. You will be required to support change implementation and assist with productions issues where required. You will also lead and support technical engagement with relevant 3rd parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide impact assessment on FIS change from service centre perspective, e.g., projects, releases, and then engage relevant CYB areas, e.g., Testing Services, engage with Service Provision to make them aware
  • Work closely with the client’s supplier relationship management team to review and assess change that will impact our applications
  • Provide technical consultancy and coordination of resources engaged in implementing change, including working with change management/raising Remedy tickets. This would be for: Scheduled Change, e.g. changing transaction parameters for the client’s Credit Cards, Scheme Releases (VISA, MasterCard, LINK), refinement and improvement of systems or processes
  • Be the assigned Technical Specialist for projects in the credit and specialised systems space
  • Responsible for the development of a knowledge base related to cards processing systems (and other related systems where necessary).This would involve: Producing and maintaining detailed internal and 3rd party design docs and providing links to or the actual scheme documentation
  • Provide SME knowledge including consultancy to various business and technology units
  • Build and maintain a technical relationship with third parties
  • Represent the client at the MasterCard MTC (MasterCard Technical Committee)
