Job Description Make your mark as Technical Superintendent Qatar at Smit Lamnalco As technical superintendent Qatar you are responsible for the technical operational deployment, maintenance and docking of vessels. In close cooperation with the international crew on board you will ensure that the vessels are in an excellent technical and maintenance state to ensure the continuity of service to our client. Your responsibilities: Coordinate, draw up & monitor maintenance budgets, carry out maintenance work on board and monitor quality standards. Planning, organizing, supervising repairs, inspections and dockings and the preparation of final technical and financial reports. Regular visits to vessels offshore for technical inspections and problem solving. 1st point of contact for the international crew in case of technical questions or defects. Supervising and providing technical advice and support to the chief engineers on board. You will investigate and analyze technical defects and take preventive and corrective measures in a timely manner. Managing the maintenance progress and quality on board. Liaise with suppliers, classification societies and other external parties. Monitoring and updating of ship certificates and technical documents. Qualifications To fulfil the position of Technical Superintendent Qatar you will have the following: A Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Maritime engineering or Naval Engineering. At least 5 years of experience as technical superintendent and experience as chief engineer. International work experience, preferably gained in the Middle East. Excellent managerial and project management skills. Team player with a collaborative approach, maintaining high standards and good work ethics. High level of organizational and planning skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high quality outcomes that are accurate, complete, and timely. Fluent command of the English language, spoken and written.
