TECHNICAL SUPPORT ANALYST:

On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Technical Support Analyst for a 14 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity exists within the Cross Product Technology (CPT) organization for a Technical Support Analyst to support multiple applications used by the Research group. This role involves managing the day-to-day availability of applications, ensuring effective communication of issues or updates to business users, and working on projects to enhance production system stability and efficiency.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in a support environment
  • Familiarity with Linux commands and shell scripting
  • Functional knowledge of SQL and database systems

TECHNICAL SUPPORT ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with monitoring tools like ITRS
  • Experience with one-click deployment tools like uDeploy
  • Understanding of IP networks and network traffic analysis
  • Programming skills: Perl, Python, Java, HTML, web services
  • Experience with Microsoft Office troubleshooting
Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st line technical support and manage production issues
  • Perform incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and escalation
  • Develop as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for applications and handle production issues
  • Proactively improve application stability through key initiatives
  • Conduct efficiency improvements and automate repetitive tasks
  • Perform Change Management and deployment activities
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base for team knowledge transfer
