Description

Join Right Click IT, a national Managed IT and Cyber Security company working with businesses across Australia.

We’re looking for a Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our team in Notting Hill, Melbourne’s south east.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or build their career in IT. You’ll work alongside experienced technical mentors, helping our clients solve real-world technology problems while developing your technical skills across a wide range of systems and environments.

A quick note about where you'll work

This role will initially be full time from our Notting Hill office while you complete your training, onboarding and get comfortable with our clients, systems and the role.

We expect this to be around the first six months.

Once you’re confident, capable and working independently, we’ll look at gradually moving towards a hybrid working arrangement, based on performance, capability and business requirements.

So, if you're looking for a work from home role from day one, this probably isn't the one. But if you're looking for somewhere to properly learn, develop and build your IT career, keep reading.

The Role

You'll be helping our clients with their day-to-day technology needs, including:

  • Responding to Level 1 support requests by phone, email and remote support tools
  • Guiding clients through technical difficulties
  • Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows, user accounts, computers, printers and common business applications
  • Setting up users, computers and software
  • Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software
  • Keeping support tickets and technical notes accurate and up to date
  • Escalating more complex issues and working alongside our senior technicians
  • Assisting with client onboarding, documentation and system administration
  • Helping with the internal administration of our own systems and operations

You are not expected to know everything. That's why you'll have experienced people around you.

What we do expect is that you're willing to have a go, investigate the problem, ask questions and learn.

The Candidate

You’re looking to start or develop your career in IT.

You might be the person your friends and family call when their computer stops working, their Wi-Fi disappears or something suddenly "doesn't work anymore".

Maybe you love tinkering with computers. Perhaps you're into gaming, building PCs, home labs or playing around with technology just to figure out how it works.

More importantly, you genuinely enjoy solving problems and helping people.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is organised and can prioritise tasks and deadlines
  • Enjoys solving problems and working things out
  • Has a strong can-do attitude
  • Is comfortable talking to people over the phone and in person
  • Genuinely cares about providing good customer service
  • Shows initiative and is willing to learn
  • Enjoys being part of a team
  • Has a genuine interest in technology and cyber security
  • Is comfortable working independently once trained, but knows when to ask for help
