Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support for drilling and surface logging operations in ENSC
  • Supporting Cadence, i-Trak, JewelSuite and hardware used for operations
  • Introducing new technology and participate in field testing of new services
  • Providing general IT and computer hardware support for the iROC center in Stavanger
  • Keeping checklists and job guides updated and implement best practices
  • Participating in pre-section meetings
  • Covering shift for 24/7 TS engineers in iROC center
  • Traveling to test sites and other Baker Hughes facilities for new product testing and training if require

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or engineering degree with Have proven operations experience as technical support, MWD or SLS/ARTE engineer
  • Have an analytical approach to problem-solving and be motivated and focused on results
  • Have sound IT skills and the ability to multitask whilst using technical equipment
  • Have good communication skills – in English, both verbal and written
  • Be a team player who enjoys troubleshooting and helping people
  • Be excited to learn new technical skills with regards to digital oilfield
  • Enjoy a fast-moving environment and the need to react quickly to find solutions to problem
