JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team and help us to provide the highest quality of remote technical support of IT products and solutions in predominantly a healthcare environment.
This role will be office based in our Tamworth Office.
This is a good opportunity for someone early in their career looking to progress.
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1730.
Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire
A bit about us:
Blaucomm design, install & manage IT Network & Telecoms Solutions for care homes. We also do Nurse Call systems, WiFi, Internet, Hosted Telephony, Firewalls and IT Support. We’re not just any old IT or Telecoms company. We’re a care-focused team!
What will you be doing in this role?
As a Technical Support Engineer at Blaucomm, you will be responsible for providing remote technical support of IT solutions in mainly healthcare environments. This could be smartphones, hosted telephony, WiFi, data switches, routers, PCs and laptops, or many other various products we supply and support.

A typical day could include:

  • Pre-staging equipment in the office in preparation for an installation
  • Testing and repairing faulty hardware or software in the office
  • Providing technical support on our products and services
  • Providing remote training to customers on products
  • Conducting proactive reach-outs to customers to gather feedback on products and services.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with engineering tasks

You will be the face of Blaucomm whilst when customers reach out with a problem, so great people skills will be important - often in a technical situation, customers will look to you for help and guidance, so being able to translate complex terms to simple explanations for non-technical staff is a great skill.
Ultimately this is an opportunity to develop with a chance to build a rewarding career in a small professional company.

IDEAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Ideally you will have experience in a technical field. This is an office based roll with some limited work from home opportunity. This is due to the requirement of pre-staging and investigating hardware requirements which is limited to our Tamworth office.
You will be in a small team, so being confident and practical is a must. Technical competence is something that can always be worked on, but you must be able to demonstrate you have confidence and a good grounding in a similar field, such as;
Access Control, Fire and Security, Nurse Call, IT Support, Data Networking and Cabling, Audio Visual, Telecoms etc.
Experience, Knowledge and understanding of networks and IP based systems is desirable.
