TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER

Newsome Ltd is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join our team, offering you the opportunity to provide expert technical assistance to our customers, distributors, and internal teams across HVAC, AC, Controls, and Refrigeration systems.
As a key member of our technical support function, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, guiding customers through installation and maintenance procedures, and ensuring our solutions deliver the high performance and reliability for which Newsome is known. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with a strong background in HVAC/R, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in HVAC/R field service, technical support, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of HVAC/R principles, including refrigeration cycles and thermodynamics
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Relevant qualifications in HVAC/R, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (desirable)
  • Technical certifications such as EPA 608, FGAS, or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience with controls and BMS preferred
Responsibilities
  • Provide timely technical support via phone, email, and CRM, assisting with troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance queries
  • Diagnose faults using wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and diagnostic tools
  • Offer expert advice on system design, product selection, and commissioning
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, industry developments, and technical standards
  • Deliver technical training to customers, distributors, and internal teams when required
