We are looking for a Transport & Roading Technical Support Officer to join our Infrastructure Services team. This role provides technical and administrative support to the Roading and Transport Coordinators to help plan, maintain, and improve the Buller District roading network. Who are we? | Ko wai tatou? Key responsibilities will include: Assist with planning and delivery of the National Land Transport Programme (NLTP) activities. Support the development and maintenance of the forward works programme for transport infrastructure. Provide assistance with contract monitoring and performance reporting for the road maintenance contract. Review and support processes related to Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TTMPs), corridor access requests, and overweight permits. Support the management and accuracy of asset databases including RAMM and OBIS, and other roading asset information. Assist with financial monitoring and reporting for transport projects and programmes. Provide input into resource consents, PIMs and LIMs relating to roading assets. Monitor service requests related to the roading network and support timely responses to customers. Maintain positive working relationships with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams. Who Are You? | Ko wai koe? We are looking for someone with: Essential: Experience or qualifications in construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or contract administration. Knowledge of transport or roading infrastructure projects. Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. High level of computer literacy and reporting ability. Desirable: Knowledge of NZTA / Waka Kotahi processes or funding programmes. Experience with RAMM, CoPTTM, or roading asset systems. Experience working in local government or infrastructure delivery environments.
