JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network systems. This role involves resolving complex desktop and connectivity issues, supporting third-party and proprietary applications, and contributing to technology projects and system upgrades.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot end-user issues related to PC hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Independently resolve hardware break-fix issues, TCP/IP and IP setup problems, and application-related queries.
  • Escalate or perform server-related tasks when necessary to resolve desktop and network issues.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to address proprietary application concerns.
  • Assist Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle for hardware/software upgrades and location moves, including:
  • Conducting client interviews and technology assessments
  • Providing recommendations based on needs
  • Developing integration requirements
  • Application configuration and distribution
  • Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Managing on-site resources
  • Delivering technical training and Day One support
  • Evaluate system capabilities by testing the compatibility of new software with existing programs.
  • Analyze system workload and capacity to assess feasibility of expansions or enhancements.
  • Gather relevant data, evaluate options, and recommend solutions to achieve system objectives.
  • Test and modify programs to meet objectives and established standards.
  • Review and enhance existing programs by evaluating proposed changes and making recommendations.
  • Evaluate third-party software for compatibility with existing hardware and applications.
  • Participate in or conduct hardware/component factory acceptance testing.
  • Deploy software and hardware into production environments, ensuring successful installation and configuration.
  • Maximize end-user experience by providing training and support, interpreting technical instructions, and answering questions.
  • Conduct regular system capability checks by testing components.
  • Create user documentation, including operating instructions and technical references.
  • Maintain records of all hardware/software changes and revisions.
  • Uphold confidentiality and protect client information at all times.
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
  • Contribute to overall team success by supporting cross-functional initiatives and achieving shared goals.
