Description Technical Support Specialist Basic Functions (or Position Summary): Contact with Customers to answer technical questions and provide solutions. May include addressing questions related to product application, sizing and substitution. Will address Customer questions on phone, e-mail, fax or internet. Technical Support Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Answer phone and E-mail inquiries regarding product lines. Apply and utilize problem-solving skills. Problem resolution often requires a strong understanding of products, systems and procedures and often requires thinking out of the box and applying good judgment. Provide workable ventilation solutions to customer requests. Develop a product area of expertise to drive customer satisfaction. Analyze customer return data for that product and implement plans to improve. Demonstrate professionalism and relationship building skills with customers, including day-to-day interactions with customers. Ability to promote our products and services to customers by highlighting line features, benefits, quality, etc. Apply company’s product selection to meet job specifications for customer projects. Cross-reference other manufacturer’s product to company’s products. May analyze and test various products to determine if they are defective. Provide product trouble-shooting, advanced technical advice and warranty administration. Acquire and maintain product and system knowledge. This responsibility requires keeping up to speed with products and systems by keeping pace with training, communications and self-education. Maintain a high level of accessibility to customers Requirements Technical Support Specialist Additional Position Information/Details: Education: HS Diploma or equivalent. Some college is preferred. Experience: Background in commercial or residential ventilation installation, manufacturing or sales. A working knowledge of construction practices and techniques as they relate to ventilation. Skills: Dependable, accurate, customer-oriented, strong work ethic. Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills of mechanical equipment, airflow and electrical Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Computer skills – working knowledge Microsoft software applications.
Responsibilities
