Description

The most essential aspects of this roles are:

  • Course development – the instructional designer must have at least five years of experience in the development of classroom and self-study training course materials using Microsoft 365 products. Experience in the development of online training using Adobe Articulate Storyline is needed. Instructional designer must apply all phases of the ISD model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) in the development of learning solutions. Instructional designer must have created training content consisting of learning objectives, learning content supporting the learning objectives, and test items aligned with the learning objectives. Instructional designer must be able to identify the performance expected of the learner at conclusion of training and design and develop the training accordingly. Instructional designer must be able to identify and incorporate improvements into course materials following implementation. Instructional designer must be able to determine the most appropriate learning solution given the content to be implemented. Instructional designer must have strong project management skills.
  • Curriculum design – the instructional designer must have at least two years of experience in the design and development of training program curricula. Instructional designer must be able to:

o Verify learning objective grouping into appropriate courses..
o Determine effective learning solution sequencing within a curriculum to enable employee expertise development.

§ Knowledge and skill identification and relationship
§ Dependency, supportive, common, and/or independent relationships
o Identify and document any expected curriculum prerequisite knowledge and skill.
o Determine learning solution timing requirements within each curriculum.

o Develop formative and summative knowledge/skill checks.

  • Task analysis – the instructional designer must have at least two years of experience performing task analyses. Instructional designer must be able to translate task analysis data into learning content. Instructional designer must create training content based upon related desired task performance knowledge and skill. Instructional designer must be able to identify task conditions, standards, tools/equipment, elements or steps, and knowledge/skills and translate them into course materials
