JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer I for our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, Nevada.
In addition to being responsible for providing and coordinating orientation and training, the Technical Trainer I will also be responsible for developing and implementing the use of training documents including SOPs. You will manage the processes that support the overall training program.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Technical Trainer I position.

  • Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
  • Experience: 6 months of experience in animal research and/or husbandry, or training; multi species experience preferred or must have demonstrated full technical competence and satisfactory performance at the previous level.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure: AALAS certification at the ALAT level preferred.
  • Other: Ability to handle common laboratory species. Proficient in basic technical skills and the operation of data collection equipment. Knowledge of GLPs and other federal regulations and guidelines relating to the care of laboratory animals.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
