Company : Hastings Deering (PNG) Limited Location: Port Moresby Business Centre About the Role: Hastings Deering is on the hunt for a suitably qualified Technical Trainer with an Auto Electrical trade background to play a critical role in developing and delivering training programs across our business both internally and externally. You will have a background in the mining sector and show continuous improvement to achieve business outcomes. Reporting to the Learning Manager, you will be responsible for: Develop and deliver state of the art training packages to our workforce and customers Facilitate a safe, positive and open learning experience for all learners protecting the Hastings Deering brand and reputation. Stay updated on the latest advancements and technologies in Caterpillar equipment. Research, develop/manufacture and maintain training aids, visual aids and other appropriate items to support and enhance the learning experience. Role model and demonstrate oneHD values and behaviour both internally and externally. As required, this role also provides support to the broader Capability team in the delivery of both Operator and Apprentice training including internal non-accredited programs and courses. A successful teammate will have experience in: Demonstrated experience in Caterpillar electrical systems and diagnostics. Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to regional areas A recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification Strong practical background in training, mentoring, or coaching within the auto-electrical trade, technical trainer role or similar position A commitment to safety and compliance with electrical standards. Deliver training on CAT generator electrical systems, including power generation fundamentals, voltage regulation, control panels, and the integration of mechanical and electrical systems in gensets.
