Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE

The Technical Training & Compliance Manager role is all about making sure our people have the right technical training to do their jobs safely, competently, and to the highest standards. You’ll lead the way in designing smart, practical training that builds skills and keeps safety front and centre. From owning our competency framework and shaping learning strategies, to working closely with leaders, vendors, and RTOs—you’ll make sure our training is compliant, effective, and always evolving.
You’ll guide a dedicated team of L&D Partners, manage budgets and external relationships, and tailor learning to suit different needs and styles. Most importantly, you’ll ensure our programs reflect real work, meet industry standards, and make a meaningful impact.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL

  • Lead and design with purpose – Own the technical training space by creating engaging, practical programs that build a capable, confident, and safety-focused workforce. Use a risk-based approach and keep our Competency Framework embedded in how we work.
  • Drive strategy and continuous improvement – Prioritise training needs, measure what matters, and keep improving through insights and feedback. Stay ahead of industry trends while ensuring compliance.
  • Support diverse learning needs – Design flexible, accessible learning for different styles and formats—whether it’s in the field, on-site, or online.
  • Manage operations smoothly – Oversee budgets, vendors, and RTO partnerships. Make sure our training meets internal policies and external standards, with accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Stay connected – Be ready to travel to sites and depots, stay close to the work, and keep training grounded in what people really need to stay safe and do the job well.
