Description

We are looking for an individual to join our team as Technical Training Lead at our Crookston Factory. This role is responsible for providing various process, maintenance, and safety training at the factory site and monitors and mentors student progress through programs, both in classroom and on the floor.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule training classes held at the factory to achieve training objectives approved by the Training Manager.
  • Administer all assigned Specialized Training Programs, ensuring the integrity of the training by providing technical expertise and direction to all students. This may include delivering classroom training, and written, oral and floor assessments (on the job) all while ensuring student testing procedures are in accordance with established policy.
  • Develops and implements training/rotation plans within program guidelines for new hires and employees. This includes regular meetings with supervisors to ensure rotation and coordination of training needs and activities.
  • The Technical Training Lead develops and ensures training materials are maintained for all programs at their location.
  • Manages record keeping on location protecting the integrity of all training documentation. Provides needed reports and assists factory supervisors in the use of the system and reporting capabilities.
  • The Technical Training Lead includes safe work processes in all training materials and activities to ensure the Company’s safety policies and procedures are understood and followed by students.
  • Manage and provide direction to the local Technical Writer to ensure high quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Site-Specific Lockout procedures are produced.
  • Completes other duties as assigned
    To be successful in this position requires technical knowledge normally gained through the completion of a four-year technical degree, or work experience in a related technical area. A complete understanding of one or more of the major functional areas in the factory is a requirement as well as knowledge of SOP guidelines, Food Quality, Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and personal safety. Training presentation skills, good computer skills, and communication abilities are necessary to conduct technical training and access student results. Administrative, organizational and training/coaching skills are essential in this position.
