Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer to create and maintain clear, accurate documents that support our engineering teams. This role involves working closely with engineers to write and update manuals, test plans, technical specifications, and other documents used internally and by customers. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, understands technical concepts, and is experienced in managing documents in an engineering or aerospace setting.

  • Exposure to technical hardware environments (e.g., cleanroom protocols, precision assemblies, pressure systems, or test labs).
  • Knowledge of government standards (e.g., NASA-STD, MIL-STD, AS9100) for technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with CAD software or image markup tools for diagrams and schematics (e.g., SolidWorks Composer or Visio).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in an engineering or aerospace environment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering terminology, schematics, and system designs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Experience with document management systems and configuration control processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
