We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our team and help simplify complex systems and processes. Our ideal candidate is a natural systems thinker who can break down intricate concepts into clear, concise, and engaging documentation. They will play a critical role in ensuring that our technical materials are structured, well-planned, and aligned with business needs. Simplify the Complex – Translate complex systems and processes into easy-to-understand language and visuals, ensuring accessibility for both technical and non-technical audiences. Plan and Execute – Develop comprehensive documentation strategies that define scope, objectives, timelines, and key stakeholders. Work proactively to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials. Create and Author – Produce high-quality documentation, including industry testing strategy, operational readiness, business & technical specifications, user manuals, technical guides, FAQs. Ensure all content aligns with ASX’s corporate brand style and tone of voice. Collaborate and Manage Stakeholders – Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) and various teams across the organisation to gather technical insights, review content for accuracy, and secure necessary approvals. Ensure Quality and Consistency – Maintain consistency in style, tone, and terminology across documentation, ensuring clarity and adherence to industry best practices. Be a Team Player – Work closely within a small, dynamic Communication and Consultations team. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment while producing impactful content that drives engagement and understanding. Your experience and qualifications: Must have: Education & Background: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science and/or another related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience, preferably in complex systems integration or software implementation environments. Technical Skills: Proficiency in documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio. Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of system integration concepts, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). Communication Expertise: Excellent ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to accuracy, consistency, and high-quality work.
