Description:
Briljent is seeking a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation and business communications including Standard Operating Procedures and Business Workflows that contribute to the overall success of our team and our client’s mission.
This position is remote, however, the ideal candidate would be in Albany, NY.
Duration: Up to 12 months with possible extension
Salary: $60k - $78K annually

Requirements:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand, create, and maintain required documentation. Be able to assist the PMO Lead/Manager to schedule and conduct documentation audits.
  • Have solid editing & formatting expertise with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Have technical writing skills with experience within a project/product implementation environment, healthcare experience, SDLC/Product development experience.
  • Demonstrate a mature understanding of technical writing and collaboration best practices as well as production management techniques and standards.
  • Have experience adding visual elements (such as images, flowcharts, tables, diagrams, etc.) to documentation using screen-capture and flowchart tools.
  • Demonstrate proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have excellent communication skills. Should be able to adapt documentation for a specified audience.
  • Bachelor’s preferred (English, Communications or related
Responsibilities
  • Create easy-to-understand user content and product documentation to meet project requirements, increase product clarity, support user performance, and maximize usability.
  • Work collaboratively with developers, business systems analysts, and technical SMEs to conduct knowledge gathering interviews and to ensure content accuracy.
  • Produce clear and approachable documentation that adheres to implemented style guides and current industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of complex technical user documentation that meets contractual requirements.
  • Use standardized templates for functional requirements documents, technical architecture documentation, process flows, and design specifications.
  • Effectively communicates project status, needs, roadblocks, or successes in a transparent manner.
