QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a technical writer, documentation specialist, or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple language.
  • Proficiency in technical writing tools and software (e.g., MS Office, Confluence, Adobe FrameMaker, Markdown, etc.).
  • Experience in project management or as an expeditor is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with industry-specific terminology or tools (e.g., software development, manufacturing, engineering).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

Responsibilities

TECHNICAL WRITER PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, work instructions, API documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Organize complex technical information in a user-friendly and accessible format for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure all documentation follows established style guidelines and templates.
  • Continuously improve documentation by gathering feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Maintain version control and ensure all documents are up-to-date with the latest product and process changes.

EXPEDITOR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expedite Shipments: Ensure that shipments are processed in a timely manner by tracking orders, following up with vendors, carriers, and internal teams, and addressing any delays or issues.
  • Monitor Shipping Schedules: Track and manage shipping schedules to ensure that all materials and products are dispatched and received within agreed-upon timelines.
  • Prepare Documentation: If necessary, prepare and verify shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure that products are properly stocked and available for shipment.
  • Communicate with Internal Teams: Keep relevant internal teams informed of shipment statuses, delays, and any potential impacts on customer delivery timelines. As required, inform management if there are issues in order to avoid failure to ship as promised.
