The Opportunity
Engineering - Technical Writer, Global Flame
Reporting to and under the general direction of the Director of Engineering, Global Flame, the Technical Writer, Global Flame is responsible for the development and maintenance of internal and customer-facing documentation. In this role, you will develop owner’s manuals and service manuals for consumer-packaged goods to communicate product functionality to a variety of audiences for our global product portfolio. You will be encouraged to be creative and innovative with the goal of creating a positive user experience. You will also support in the documentation of internal processes for the Engineering department.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain user manuals and service manuals
  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements
  • Working with third-party translations
  • Document organizational processes for Engineering
  • Support Customer Service with technical inquiries
  • Support Marketing to ensure accurate descriptions of products
  • Communicate with team members and other stakeholders to gather required information
  • Be an effective technical resource center for the business
  • Support engineering department in other administrative duties
  • Support technical video, digital asset creation
