Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group), a leading company in safety‑critical software for aerospace, defence and transport, is looking for a Technical Writer / Graphic Designer to join our on‑site team in Immenstaad, Germany, supporting strategic projects with Airbus Defence & Space. 📍 Location: Immenstaad am Bodensee, Germany Why join us? 💰 Competitive salary: 57,000 – 65,000 € 🏠 Support in finding accommodation and German language training. 📄 Full relocation assistance, administrative support 📦 The company covers your German tax return for the first year. 📌 Permanent German contract + long‑term projects ⚙️ Team-building activities and regular technical follow‑ups 🌍 Multicultural, inclusive, and innovative environment What you will do 📚 Develop and maintain electronic technical documentation systems 🎨 Create and update technical graphics, illustrations, exploded views and isometric representations for technical manuals and spare parts catalogues 🛰️ Produce user-oriented graphics and visual content for aerospace communication systems 📝 Create, revise and maintain operation, maintenance and repair documentation 🔄 Incorporate engineering changes and updates into technical publications 🤝 Collaborate closely with Systems Engineering teams to collect, interpret and visualize technical information 📑 Structure and standardize technical documentation according to established standards 🌐 Adapt documentation to customer-specific and national regulatory requirements ✅ Support quality assurance activities related to technical publications What we’re looking for: 🎓 Degree in Technical Documentation, Engineering, Graphic Design, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field 📖 Experience in technical documentation, technical publications or illustrated parts catalogues (IPC) 🖌️ Experience creating technical illustrations, engineering drawings, diagrams or graphical content 📚 Knowledge of ASD standards such as S1000D and/or S2000M is highly valued ⚙️ Ability to understand and interpret engineering and systems information ✈️ Experience in aerospace, defence, industrial or engineering environments is a plus 💻 Familiarity with technical authoring tools, illustration software and documentation management systems 🇬🇧 English B2/C1 level – mandatory 🇩🇪 German B1/B2 level – desirable 🇪🇺 Applicants must hold citizenship of a European Union country ✈ Ready to take off?
